Sewing a baby bodysuit - with raglan sleeves!

Bodysuits are indispensable for little explorers: unlike a shirt, they stay where they should! ;) No baby's wardrobe should be without the CERIA bodysuit pattern, because this cut is something different. The CERIA baby bodysuit has cool raglan sleeves and is closed with snap fasteners on one side of the neckline. This is not only very practical, but also has a great side effect: the neck area fits perfectly and the little ones are never naked around the neck. To ensure that everything fits perfectly, we made sure that the (cloth) diaper bottom is well wrapped up when constructing the pattern. CERIA is practically closed with snap fasteners in the crotch. You can sew the baby bodysuit in the long-sleeved version or choose the short version. Both are shown in the pattern. Of course, you can also just sew both! :-) The CERIA raglan bodysuit is also a great gift for a birth!

Sewing a baby bodysuit yourself - does that make sense? Absolutely! CERIA is not just another bodysuit, CERIA is something special. The raglan sleeves are just something different and invite you to mix fabrics. Of course, suitability for everyday use was particularly important to us! The integrated button panel is located in one of the front raglan seams. This means that the little stubborn heads can easily get through the neckline. And the neckline sits nicely on the neck! Changing is a breeze with the buttons in the crotch. Depending on how you position the buttons and whether you attach 2 or 3 snap fasteners, you can vary the width of the leg openings a little. The cut is designed so that even voluminous cloth diaper bottoms are well wrapped. If this space is not needed, you can easily adjust the length of the bodysuit to suit your individual needs.

The name CERIA

There couldn't be a better name. Bet you? CERIA is Indonesian and means "cheerful" and the good mood is guaranteed to start right when you start sewing!

Sewing a Raglan Baby Body, even as a beginner

The CERIA baby bodysuit is not only easy to sew, but also very quick to make. We'll help you with our step-by-step instructions that will leave no questions unanswered!

The e-book takes you step by step with lots of pictures, making cutting and sewing child's play. The e-book also contains a small basic section in which common terms and sewing vocabulary are briefly explained. Printing and gluing the pattern together is also explained in detail!

Fabric recommendation:

To be honest, jersey is the best choice for the CERIA baby bodysuit. Look for high-quality materials such as cotton jersey, jersey made from Tencel/Lyoncell, cotton-bamboo blends or even merino wool jersey. Jersey is stretchy, unbeatably comfortable on bare skin and beautifully soft for baby skin. A clear plus point is of course that cotton jersey can be washed in the washing machine at 60°. This is an important aspect, especially for baby underwear. In addition to cotton jersey, jersey fabrics made from other fibers such as silk or viscose are also suitable. And thin, stretchy French terry qualities work great too. You also need cuff fabric.

Fabric consumption:

For the CERIA body you need the following amounts of fabric (based on 150 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffer):

size 56 - 68 0.50 m
size 74 - 86 0.55 m
size 92 - 98 0.60 m

In all sizes you also need:
