Diagonally cut tape with chain stitch to secure diagonally or rounded edges on non-stretchy fabrics. Prevents the edges from stretching, for example at the neckline or armholes on blouses. This results in a flat, soft turned edge. The shaping tape is 12 mm wide and is stitched with a chain stitch at 4 or 8 mm edge spacing to prevent stretching. The tape is ironed on so that the 8 mm points towards the edge of the fabric, then it is sewn just behind the chain stitch. Iron without a damp cloth using a normal iron (2 points) for around 8 seconds. Press the iron on step by step, do not push. Allow to cool well.
