Environmentally friendly and high quality

The special thing about the Nähfrosch sewing kits is that we use materials that are as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible. That's why you'll only find carefully selected, high-quality materials in our sewing kits that you'll enjoy for a long time. The fabrics are certified, the sewing thread is organic. You can find the exact details about the materials in this sewing kit below!

We think the processes through to the end: we also care about the environment when it comes to packaging. You receive a recyclable shipping box that is already made of 70% recycled material. We pay attention to small package sizes so that transport is as resource-efficient as possible. Instead of wrapping your fabric in tissue paper or even plastic, we wrap it in a layer of 100% recycled, environmentally friendly wrapping paper. We do not use stickers as these can impair recyclability. Our environmentally friendly parcel tape is made from uncoated kraft paper and the adhesive is made from natural rubber. This means it can be recycled with the shipping box.

Of course, only cotton jersey, certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, was considered for our sewing kit. The cool stripes go perfectly with it.

• Solid-colored organic jersey

This high-quality, soft cotton jersey is made from organic cotton. It is available in many colors! This one goes perfectly with the stripes and the motif fabric. The organic jersey is certified according to the GOTS Global Organic Textile Standard.

• Jersey motif according to Öko-Tex Standard 100

Soft cotton jersey with cheeky parrots, cockatoos and toucans in cheerful colors. This fabric is well suited for sewing this overall and the color matches the other fabrics very well!

• cuffs according to Öko-Tex Standard 100

We also paid attention to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 when selecting the cuff material for the sewing kit. The smooth cuff is knitted in a tube, consists of 95% cotton, 5% elastane and has a weight of 265 g/m ² .

• Organic sewing thread

Conscious sewing also includes the sewing thread! The 100% organic sewing thread contributes to protecting our environment. All production processes of the Scanfil Organic Cotton cotton yarn follow the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) guidelines. No toxic chemicals are used in the cultivation of the organic cotton. Natural insecticides protect plants, the environment and ultimately people. The spools are made of environmentally friendly wood. The sewing thread is durable and has excellent sewing properties.

• buttons according to Ökotex Standard 100

Buttons enhance sewing creations with subtle color accents and perfectly coordinated. These classic buttons are matte, 15 mm in diameter and have two holes. The buttons from Atelier Brunette are made in France and are Oeko-Tex certified.

• Fleece line H609 according to Ökotex Standard 100

Elastic, lightweight, fixable interlining with a very soft, elegant feel. For small parts such as facings and front fixings on clothing made of high-quality and very elastic fabrics such as jersey.
