Simple bag WARNA - with or without stitched corners
Sew a simple little shopping bag yourself! Whether for children or adults, everything can be stowed away quickly with the WARNA bag. The convertible WARNA bag can be lined or sewn in one layer. There are two variants available: with sewn corners (i.e. with a base) or simply rounded. If desired, a small bag can be attached. The straps are made of webbing, either two straps or one. And of course you can easily make the bag a little bigger or smaller!
Sewing a bag, even as a beginner!
This pattern is absolutely suitable for beginners! The WARNA bag can be cut out in no time and sewn in a flash. This means that even those who have only recently started using a sewing machine can score points here! This bag is always a hit!
The name WARNA
What kind of strange name is that? The children's bag "WARNA" takes its name from the Indonesian language and means "colorful" or "color". We think it fits perfectly, because a colorful mix makes this sweet companion an absolute and much-loved eye-catcher.
Fabric recommendation:
The WARNA bag can basically be sewn from any fabric - cotton woven fabric, linen, canvas, jeans, corduroy, bag fabrics. With firmer fabrics the bag will naturally have more stability and hold, with softer fabrics it will hang loosely.
Maybe you should think about what you want to use the bag for. For example, if you want it to be a painting bag for carrying a drawing pad and pencils, a sturdier version is recommended. Then the pads won't get bent.
And don't forget to look in the leftover box. You're sure to find treasures there that can still be used. Of course, you can't forget some knick-knacks - depending on your taste.
Fabric consumption:
You can use fabric scraps perfectly for the bag, because you only need the amounts of fabric listed below - and of course you can mix and match. The information is for bags with an outside and inside pocket, i.e. lined. You can of course also sew this cute companion from one layer of fabric.
