Sewing video Bolero Cardigan SEDIKIT
Short cardigan in two versions
The SEDIKIT bolero jacket made of knitwear is a wonderful companion. A feminine cardigan with a chic, slim cut. In terms of appearance, you can choose between the curved edge at the front as a cute short version or with a straight edge at waist length. The edges of the jacket are simply hemmed (with the fabric or elastic bias tape) and closed with a button at the front. So it's sewn in no time and perfect for any occasion - whether with a formal dress like MERIAH or a simple top like RELA. Stretchy knit fabrics with a nice drape are best for the cardigan. Depending on whether you use a fine fine knit, a casual chunky knit or a jacquard knit, the look will of course always be different! There are practical video sewing instructions for the SEDIKIT jacket on the Nähfrosch YouTube channel! Check it out!
Sewing a practical bolero jacket - even as a sewing beginner
The SEDIKIT jacket is not only very easy to sew, it is also very quick. So, no matter how little or how much sewing experience you have, you can take on this sewing project in a relaxed manner and you can even conjure up a last-minute accessory for your appearance if you suddenly feel like trying a new look. It is hard to get any quicker than this pattern :-)
The e-book takes you step by step with lots of pictures, making cutting and sewing child's play. The e-book also contains a small basic section in which common terms and sewing vocabulary are briefly explained. Printing and gluing the pattern together is also explained in detail!
The name SEDIKIT
"A little bit" is SEDIKIT in Indonesian. This cute bolero jacket can be used in slightly warm and slightly cool weather!
Fabric recommendation:
Stretchy knit fabrics with a nice drape are best for this cute bolero jacket. Depending on whether you use a fine fine knit, a casual chunky knit, jacquard knit or even jersey or French terry, the effect will of course always be different! For fabrics that could quickly stretch or warp, such as knit fabrics or viscose jerseys, we recommend reinforcing the shoulder seams and neckline. Flexible interfacing seam tape is suitable for this .
Here is the approximate fabric consumption for a fabric width of 140 cm:
- size 92-110 = 40 cm
- size 116-134 = 50 cm
- size 140-152 = 90 cm
- size 158-164 = 100 cm
Additional material:
- Slightly elastic interlining strip (especially recommended for knit fabrics!), e.g. Vlieseline seam tape flexible
- Edging tape, e.g. (elastic) bias tape (e.g. this one ) or edging strips from the outer fabric
- If necessary, a button, snap fastener or hook closure
The approximate length of binding tape required:
- size 92 = 1.30 m
- size 98 = 1.45 m
- size 104 = 1.50 m
- size 110 = 1.55 m
- size 116 = 1.60 m
- size 122 = 1.65 m
- size 128 = 1.70 m
- size 134 = 1.75 m
- size 140 = 1.80 m
- size 146 = 1.85 m
- size 152 = 1.90 m
- size 158 = 1.95 m
- size 164 = 2 m
