Loose woven dress or tunic

SINAR is a simple, loose shirt dress made of woven fabric for big and small girls - airy and comfortable for the sunny summer months. The dress has a casual A-line cut, optionally with a round neckline or a deep lace, cut sleeves and a rounded hem with a side slit. Depending on your taste, you can sew seam pockets or patch pockets. You can casually accentuate the waist with a sewn tie belt or a matching belt from your collection. The length of the dress: trendy midi length. There is a correspondingly short length for all tunic fans. And if you feel like it, you can also decorate the deep neckline à la beach tunic or boho style. There are no limits to your imagination here. The SINAR cut is also available for kids!

Sewing a summery A-line dress, even as a beginner

The SINAR dress is suitable for all sewing levels, because the great, feminine look is really easy to create. The neck, armhole and hem are finished with facings. It's not as difficult as it sounds. The name SINAR

Radiantly beautiful - who wants that? With SINAR it's now really easy, because this dress says it all. SINAR is Indonesian and means "to shine".

Fabric recommendation:

This summery dress looks best in light, soft and airy fabrics - naturally made of cotton or (viscose) linen, but cotton blends or polyester fabrics also work well. The classics include viscose, silk, satin, batiste or chiffon. But muslin, seersucker, flannel or scuba are also suitable materials.

Fabric consumption:

For the SINAR dress you need the following amounts of fabric (based on 150 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffer):

• size 34-38 = 2.45 m

• size 40-44 = 2.65 m

• size 46-50 = 2.80 m

• size 52-56 = 3.00 m

Please note: This is the approximate maximum fabric consumption. Due to the shape facings, this is quite high and does not take into account that smaller parts such as hem facings can be pushed into one another, which can save even more fabric. However, this is difficult to calculate.

You also need:

Depending on the strength of the fabric, it is recommended to reinforce the neckline with a thin interfacing.
If you want to decorate the neckline, you will of course need a border or other decorative elements.
