The enchantingly feminine PERMATA cut provides you with the perfect basis as a casual dress or wedding (guest) dress for all occasions! The figure-hugging top with a deep V-neck and pointed waist yoke of the blouse dress conjures up a great figure. The sweet ruffles on the shoulder, arm and skirt are romantic details. This dress, which you can sew either knee-length or in maxi length, will envelop you in an airy and lively way. The cuff sleeves, whether long or short, provide a classic touch and that certain something extra. The dress is closed with a zipper in the middle back. You can top off the romantic look with airy floral fabrics or shiny qualities such as satin and create a completely individual look. With sewing video!

Sewing a woven dress with a zipper, even as an advanced beginner

PERMATA is admittedly a bit of a challenge, but we will overcome it together. We have put together a great step-by-step guide for you that explains every trick. There is also a sewing video! Of course, it would be an advantage if you have sewn one or two pieces before - but it is not a requirement.

The e-book takes you step by step with lots of pictures, making cutting and sewing child's play. The e-book also contains a small basic section in which common terms and sewing vocabulary are briefly explained. Printing and gluing the pattern together is also explained in detail!

The name PERMATA

PERMATA is Indonesian and means gemstone. We promise that this dress will make your eyes sparkle.

Fabric recommendation:

For the PERMATA dress, we recommend woven fabrics with a nice drape. Classics include viscose fabrics such as viscose poplin, viscose linen or twill, and crepe fabrics. Satin fabrics or silk are a little more elegant with a nice sheen. Chiffon and batiste as well as light blouse chambray in a denim look or voile are also great alternatives. It's good if the fabric isn't too thin - especially for those who don't have much sewing experience.

Fabric consumption:

For the PERMATA knee-length dress you need the following amounts of fabric (assuming a fabric width of 140 cm):

Long-sleeved version:

• size 34 - 38 = 2.25 m
• size 40 - 44 = 2.65 m
• size 46 - 56 = 3.10 m

Short-sleeved version:

• size 34 - 38 = 2.00 m
• size 40 - 44 = 2.40 m
• size 46 - 56 = 2.85 m

Maxi dress:

• Size 34 - 44 = + 40 cm more fabric
• Size 46 - 56 = + 80 cm more fabric

Additional material

• non-divisible (seam-concealed) zipper (60 cm long)
• if necessary, interfacing for reinforcement
