Sewing a short jumpsuit without fasteners

A sporty one-piece for the summer, that's the LOMPAT jumpsuit. With this onesie you're fully dressed in no time - just slip it on and feel good! The modern, airy cut without annoying fasteners is versatile and comfortable. Whether for a summer stroll through town or a trip to the beach, you're always right with the LOMPAT jumpsuit! The raglan sleeves give the short playsuit a sporty touch. The trousers and top are loosely cut, but the elastic at the waist still ensures a beautiful figure. The jumpsuit has no fasteners at all, and the practical and easy-to-sew elastic at the neckline provides the necessary width for putting it on. Seam pockets complete the cut. The overalls are particularly beautiful made from soft, stretchy fabrics. The LOMPAT cut is also available for kids!

Sewing a sporty jumpsuit, even as a beginner

With these instructions and detailed step-by-step instructions, you will be able to sew this jumpsuit yourself very easily. Don't be afraid of the jersey material. It is easy to work with. Even the elastic neckline, which seems so tricky, is very easy to work with.

The name LOMPAT

LOMPAT is Indonesian and means "jump". How fitting for a piece of clothing where the name JUMPsuit is absolutely fitting.

Fabric recommendation:

The best fabrics for the jumpsuit are stretchy fabrics with a nice drape, such as fine knits, jersey, slub jersey, modal jersey, viscose jersey, cupro, stretchy jacquard or other elastic dress fabrics. The fabric should not be too heavy and should have a flowing drape.

Fabric consumption:

For the LOMPAT jumpsuit you need the following amount of fabric (based on 140 cm fabric width including seam allowances and buffer):

• size XS – 1.10 m
• Size S – 1.30 m
• Size M – 1.40 m
• Size L – 1.60 m
• Size XL – 2.00 m
• Size XXL – 2.20 m

You also need:

• Elastic band in 1 cm width for the neckline panel (57/ 59.5/ 61/ 62.5/ 64/ 65.5 cm long)
• Elastic band in 1.5 cm width for the waistband in waist size
• Color-matching sewing thread
