Comfortable Sweat Suit

A comfortable cut with a guaranteed feel-good factor, that's the GULA baby sweat suit in sizes 56 - 98. The secret: a casual cut that allows enough freedom of movement for little explorers, but still keeps them warm. Parents will especially appreciate the practical button panel on the shoulder - either on one or both sides - as this makes dressing and undressing much easier. The button panel in the crotch is particularly suitable for everyday use. Thanks to this practical diaper opening, changing diapers is quick and easy and doesn't require you to take your baby off completely! With the clever dividing seam in the top and sleeves, you can put together the GULA suit in a completely individual fabric mix and use up one or two leftover fabric scraps. For GULA, cozy sweat is particularly recommended, or alternatives such as fleece, teddy and other cozy materials. You can also sew GULA as a sweatshirt version.

The name GULA

The name is at least as beautiful as the suit. GULA is Indonesian and means "sugar". That fits perfectly for this sweet piece, doesn't it?

Sewing a cuddly baby suit, even as a somewhat experienced beginner

The GULA suit is definitely suitable as a beginner's project. Maybe not as your very first sewing project, but you don't need a lot of experience to create this comfortable piece. Above all, we will help you with these step-by-step instructions and explain everything in detail.

Fabric recommendation:

Sweat fabrics are suitable for the GULA baby suit, both brushed and as summer sweat or French terry. Nicki, fleece and slightly stretchy teddy plush are also nice and cozy.

Fabric consumption for a fabric width of 150 cm (including seam allowance and some buffer):

Size 56 - 68 = 0.75 m
Size 74 - 80 = 0.85 m
Size 86 - 98 = 1.00 m

If you want to sew the sweater version, it will of course be a little less.
