Sewing basic or detailed woven trousers

COCOK is a pair of trousers for all occasions! With this versatile cut for boys and girls, the kids are well equipped for all eventualities. COCOK is a comfortable pull-on trouser with pockets that can be sewn casually or smartly! Depending on the fabric you choose, COCOK looks chic and clean, e.g. made of twill, or casually with pockets in a cargo look, e.g. made of wide corduroy. In summer, you can sew them from light woven fabrics such as muslin or linen, or even as shorts. Apart from the two trouser lengths, the cut has exciting details: fake fly, lots of pockets and various hem solutions. The waistband can be easily adjusted to the right width with an elastic band. These trousers never get boring, neither when you wear them nor when you sew them!

Sewing comfortable pants - even as a sewing beginner

The COCOK trousers with their many details are not an easy project for beginners. However, they can also be sewn without a fake fly and pockets, so even beginners can manage them. Then just tackle the details step by step! The very detailed instructions will guide you through the process.

The e-book takes you step by step with lots of pictures, making cutting and sewing child's play. The e-book also contains a small basic section in which common terms and sewing vocabulary are briefly explained. Printing and gluing the pattern together is also explained in detail!

The name COCOK

The name COCOK is Indonesian and means "it fits" in English. It couldn't get any better than that for a pair of trousers, could it?

Fabric recommendation:

COCOK trousers are designed for non-stretch woven fabrics such as twill, poplin, cotton woven fabrics, linen, corduroy or denim. Muslin shorts are also a great idea for summer!

For the COCOK pattern you need (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffer):

• size 110–128: 120 cm
• size 134–164: 140 cm

You also need:

• Elastic band for the waistband, 4 cm wide, the length corresponds to the waist circumference + 2 cm. For orientation, here are the approximate lengths:
  • Size 110: 47 cm Size 140: 56 cm
  • Size 116: 49 cm Size 146: 57 cm
  • Size 122: 51 cm Size 152: 58 cm
  • Size 128: 53 cm Size 158: 60 cm
  • Size 134: 55 cm Size 164: 61 cm

• Optional elastic band for the leg hems: 2 cm wide, approx. 45 - 55 cm
• Optional 3 buttons for the flap pockets
• Optional 2-3 buttons for the fake fly
• Optional elastic band, 2 cm wide, for the leg hems
• Depending on the fabric, some seam tape to reinforce the pocket opening
