U-book or maternity pass cover, or changing case!

POPOK gives your maternity record or U-book a very special design. The pretty cover also offers plenty of space to store ultrasound pictures, appointments or information sheets from the doctor. The compartments in the cover ensure that everything is organized and that all the information is always in one place!

But you can use POPOK as more than just a cover. If you just vary the dimensions a little, you can sew yourself a practical changing case in no time at all, in which you can keep a few diapers, wet wipes, garbage bags and other small items that you need for changing your baby close at hand. You can even store a thin self-sewn changing mat or the disposable version. This makes POPOK a real it-piece for all (expectant) moms - and dads!

Sewing an individual case, even as a beginner

The POPOK baby case is particularly beginner-friendly, as you can store a few diapers and changing supplies in it within easy reach, or you can even sew it as a U-book cover or maternity pass cover. These instructions are definitely suitable for beginners. It is sewn very quickly and is an ideal project to familiarize yourself with your sewing machine and to quickly hold a finished project in your hands. Since you are working with cotton woven fabric here, nothing will warp under the sewing machine. If you want to sew several compartments, then read the instructions carefully first, because it explains exactly how to sew them.

The name POPOK

POPOK is Indonesian and means diaper. The case is easy to grab as a diaper bag when you need to change a diaper, and it looks pretty as a cover for your U-book and maternity record.

The amount of fabric you need varies depending on which variant you want to sew. You can find exact information in the instructions.

• Fabrics of your choice from woven fabrics (e.g. poplin, light cotton fabric, canvas, oilcloth, corduroy, snappap, leather, cork fabric)
• if necessary, iron-on fleece to reinforce thin fabrics
• Depending on your choice: KAM snaps, snap fasteners, Velcro
• iron and ironing board
• For decoration: woven ribbons, lace, rickrack, pompoms, piping, leather, appliqués (possibly appliqué fleece)
