SIHIR has that certain something - in the truest sense of the word. Because this simple dress gets its special twist from the V-neck! The wrap top is slightly gathered below the chest. Thanks to this little detail, the cut has a fantastic feminine look and is also a good companion when breastfeeding. The silhouette with a high waist and knee-length, slightly flared skirt complements this beautifully and flatters the figure. For the sleeves, you can choose between ¾ or long sleeves and a sophisticated puff sleeve, which gives the outfit a completely new look. An additional bonus is the unbeatable comfort, as SIHIR is sewn from stretchy fabrics such as jersey or viscose jersey, light knit or stretchy jacquard.

Sewing a jersey dress - even as a beginner

SIHIR is very easy to sew - we promise! The sophisticated effect on the neckline is also child's play with our step-by-step instructions, because it looks more complicated than it is. With a stretchy, slippery fabric, you may need a little patience, but that's it. You don't necessarily need any sewing experience! We'll accompany you on this sewing adventure. Have fun!

The name SIHIR

If SIHIR enchants you, it might not just be because of the great look. SIHIR is Indonesian and means magic. So there's no way you won't fall for this cut. Have fun!

Fabric recommendation:

The SIHIR dress is made of stretchy fabrics. It is important that the fabric can be gathered well. Then the neckline falls particularly beautifully. Suitable qualities are jersey, viscose jersey, light knit or stretchy jacquard. For fabrics that could quickly stretch or warp, such as knit fabrics or viscose jersey, we recommend reinforcing the shoulder seams, neckline and waist seam. Flexible interlining seam tape is suitable for this, for example, and elastic band in 5 mm width or Framilon tape for the waist .

For the SIHIR dress you need the following amounts of fabric (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffer):

• size 34-44 = 2.65 m
• size 46-50 = 2.90 m

By cleverly sliding the pattern pieces together, some fabric can certainly be saved, depending on the pattern of the fabric.

You also need:

• Slightly elastic interlining strip (especially recommended for knit fabrics!): 1.30 m, e.g. Vlieseline seam tape flexible
• Elastic or framilon band to reinforce the waist seam (especially recommended for knit fabrics and viscose jersey!): approx. 1.20 m, 5 mm wide
• Color-matching sewing thread
