The e-book contains the pattern (DIN A4 + DIN A0), detailed sewing instructions with many photos and adjustment options as well as practical tips for sewing.
Sewing a detailed blouse - with goblet collar and cuffs
This elegant, timeless cut has two really beautiful details that draw attention. Firstly, the classic goblet collar, which has the shape of a flower cup, widens slightly towards the top and looks elegant and casual thanks to this curve. A beautiful collar shape that goes perfectly under a blazer, by the way, as the collar doesn't slip so easily. Secondly, the PERLENTE blouse impresses with its decorative button panel with lots of small buttons in the front centre and loop fastener. We have incorporated an underlap here so that nothing peeks through. The front and back darts give the flattering blouse a figure-hugging shape. And the slightly wide sleeves end decoratively with high cuffs, which are also fastened with small buttons.
Sewing a blouse, as a somewhat experienced seamstress
In order for this pattern to come into its own with its beautiful details such as the goblet collar and loop closure, it should of course be neatly worked. It helps if you have a little experience and perhaps choose a fabric with a little more strength for the first PEARL. In any case, we will help you step by step with these detailed instructions. Have fun!
The e-book takes you step by step with lots of pictures, making cutting and sewing child's play. The e-book also contains a small basic section in which common terms and sewing vocabulary are briefly explained. Printing and gluing the pattern together is also explained in detail!
The name PERLENTE
PERLENTE is the perfect name for this special blouse, as it is Indonesian and means elegant. There is no better way to describe this feminine look.
Fabric recommendation:
The blouse works perfectly in flowing fabrics - of course cotton or (viscose) linen, although a little firmness suits this blouse quite well. Especially if you are not very experienced, you will find it easier to work on the details like the collar. Cotton blends or polyester fabrics also work well. Classic blouse fabrics include viscose woven fabric, light twill, voile, silk, satin, batiste or chiffon. But muslin, flannel or scuba are also suitable materials.
For the PERLENTE blouse you need the following amounts of fabric (based on 150 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffer):
- size 34 - 38 = 1.50 m
- size 40 - 44 = 1.80 m
- size 46 - 50 = 2.25 m
- size 52 - 56 = 2.30 m
You also need:
- If necessary, thin interlining to reinforce the facing, underlap and cuffs, approx. 1 m, e.g. interlining G405
- If necessary, iron-on tape to stabilize the shoulders and armholes, approx. 0.85 m, e.g. Vlieseline shaping tape
- Approx. 19 small buttons (preferably shank buttons, e.g. shank button Perla )
- 1 m thin round rubber, e.g. round rubber soft
