Warm on the neck and simply beautiful - these are two compelling arguments for this great basic piece. The PERGI turtleneck shirt is cut close to the body so that it can be combined with anything, and offers two collar solutions - the simple high collar and the turtleneck that can be folded over. The highlight: the shirt in sizes 56-104 is buttoned at the side of the neck so that you don't have to pull the shirt over the little one's head. This is so much more comfortable with an opening. The baby turtleneck sweater cut is designed for stretchy fabrics. Jersey and ribbed jersey, for example, work great, but you can also sew PERGI from knitted fabrics. You can also sew PERGI in short sleeves - combined with a shirt underneath, it also creates a great look. In addition to the illustrated instructions, there is a sewing video !

The name PERGI

By the way, PERGI is Indonesian and means "to go". Since the little ones are perfectly wrapped up for going out with this favorite item, it's a perfect fit.

Sewing a practical baby turtleneck sweater, even as a beginner

The PERGI shirt is really quick and easy to sew. Even beginners won't need any instructions after a short time :-)

The e-book takes you step by step with lots of pictures, making cutting and sewing child's play. The e-book also contains a small basic section in which common terms and sewing vocabulary are briefly explained. Printing and gluing the pattern together is also explained in detail!

Fabric recommendation:

Elastic fabrics are particularly suitable for the PERGI shirt because they are super comfortable. Jersey or ribbed jersey are ideal, of course. Great alternatives are viscose jersey and light knit fabrics. French terry or sweat are not recommended because they are not elastic enough for such a close-fitting garment.

Fabric consumption:

For the PERGI shirt as a long-sleeved version with a high collar, the following amount of fabric is required (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffer):

• size 56 - 68 = 45 cm
• size 74 - 86 = 50 cm
• size 92 - 104 = 65 cm

You may also need a piece of Vlieseline H609 to reinforce the button placket.
