Sewing Video Baby Shirt MANIS
The baby shirt Manis is the perfect complement to the baby pants RAS!
The baby shirt is an absolute favorite. The cut sleeves give the shirt a casual comfort, so that the little ones can feel right at home. The round neckline, which also goes a little deeper in the back, allows even little stubborn ones to slip into the shirt easily.
Manis is made from one cut piece, optionally with sleeve and hem cuffs. The highlight: The Manis baby shirt can be cut along the fold at the shoulder seam. This makes sewing really quick, because then there is basically only one seam to sew.
If you like, you can also sew the baby shirt as a jacket. For this version, a button strip is cut at the front center.
And the best thing for all RAS fans: It goes perfectly with the RAS baby pants and is just as quick and easy to sew!
How to make size and length adjustments to the pattern is described in the e-book. The instructions are well illustrated and very detailed. This pattern is uncomplicated and absolutely suitable for beginners.
The name MANIS
MANIS is Indonesian and means "sweet" in English. The name not only stands for this cute shirt, but also says a lot about its wearers. Because all of our little ones are mega-manis, right?
Fabric recommendation:
Stretchy fabrics are generally suitable for the Manis baby shirt, especially to ensure that it can be easily slipped through the neckline. We recommend jerseys, knits and summer sweats, which give the shirt a little more stability.
Please note: Sweatshirt fabrics are only suitable if they are cross-stretchy.
We recommend using woven fabrics exclusively for the version with a button placket.
Fabric consumption:
For a fabric width of 150 cm (including NZ, 3 cm hem and some buffer):
