Simple basic leggings

Leggings are an absolute basic item of clothing . Their mission: to make dresses and skirts suitable all year round and to keep you warm as "long underpants" under jeans in winter. This classic leggings pattern has the typical elastic waistband. MISI can be hemmed or provided with cuffs made from the main fabric. Then the seams are guaranteed not to crack! MISI leggings are very easy to sew, and to help you, there is not only the illustrated text instructions but also a video on the Nähfrosch YouTube channel! You can also shorten the leggings to ¾ length or sew them as short cycling shorts. MISI is sewn from jersey or (sports) Lycra. This makes the leggings a practical everyday companion or the perfect item of clothing for sports!

Leggings are simply practical! The slim jersey pants MISI are also a great item for boys, offering plenty of freedom of movement. The comfortable garment is not constricting and, depending on the fabric chosen, it can be a simple combination piece or a patterned eye-catcher!

The name MISI

These leggings have a mission: to make dresses and skirts suitable all year round. "Misi" is Indonesian and means "mission".

Fabric recommendation:

Leggings MISI are designed for elastic fabrics that keep their shape, e.g. jersey or (sports) lycra. Very soft fabrics such as viscose jersey are not suitable as they immediately bulge at the knees. French terry or sweat are not suitable as they are not elastic enough for such a close-fitting garment.

For the MISI leggings you need (based on 140 cm fabric width plus seam allowances and buffer):

• size 56 - 74 = 50 cm
• size 80 - 86 = 60 cm
• size 92 = 65 cm

You will also need 1.5 - 3 cm wide elastic band in waist length + 2 cm. About 45 cm is enough for all sizes.
